Bad Breath

Bad breath is usually related to a digestive problem and indicates
that your diet may need to be changed.
Treatment and Prevention Program
- Avoid fermented foods for six weeks, including cheese, alcohol, refined sugar, vinegar, sweets and chocolate.
- Take a digestive enzyme tablet at each meal. Enzymes assist the breakdown of foods in the stomach therefore allowing
better digestion and less fermentation. - Have regular dental check-ups.
- Ensure regular bowel movements (once a day) by including fibre in your diet. I suggest a bowl of cereal each morning with the addition of psyllium husks.
If the problem continues, then take a breath test with your doctor to establish whether you have Helicobacter pylori, a bacteria that lives in the stomach and can cause ulcers long term.
